“The bad weather is to blame” Friday
I have a long list of shopping I have done in the last couple of weeks. I must blame the terrible London weather for the fact that I am buying knitwear in the middle of August!!!
Anyway my recent shopping “spree” includes my new fascination with green, bold statement trousers, a pair of slipper type loafers and an incursion in to the men section for boyfriend type shirts.

"Chanel Coco blue" thursday
On my wish list. Some of my friends don’t get me but I have a thing for blue nails! And the new Channel colours (to be released early September) make just the trick.
Might go for the “Coco Blue”!

Late happy birthday!
To me what I wear and how I wear it, are a extension of who I am. And this blog is just another extension and expression of what makes me dream..a collections of thoughts, inspirational people, elegance perspectives and simply pretty things that just help you show better what really is inside!
..and who would believe that a year has already passed since starting this "little Bright world"! Happy birthday my dear!
"Elegance is not the prerogative of those who have just escaped from adolescence, but of those who have already taken possession of their future." (Coco Chanel)

Yellow Wednesday
Yellow makes me smile and reminds of sun and warmth, which is particularly important when you are facing these horrible grey London summer days.
So one solution (besides wearing it) is to bring the sun inside your house! Not conventional but it works just right!

Boy meets girl trend Tuesday
I’m loving the masculine feminine trend at the moment. You have to be quite feminine to pull it off…and Diana Kruguer does just that in perfection!
Just the blazer outfit is perfect. Photo from here |

“Listen to that still small voice inside you” Monday
“Listen to that still small voice inside you. If you do not live your life completely, realizing goals you hold to be worthwhile, making your unique contribution to the world, nobody ever will. Your song will die with you.
Many of us have discovered what we want to do with our lives. We have a purpose that resonates to the very core of our being. Somehow our lives will never be complete unless we answer this calling. But we refrain…the ‘still small voice’ whispers a dream…but later that day or the next our vision starts to fade…immersed in the practical, our dreams and aspirations seem uncertain and perhaps a bit foolish.
We plod the highway of conformity, each following the other. We seek what others seek–comfort, security, money, power, pleasure. We are not alone, but only a stranger to our better selves. Years leave wrinkles upon the skin. But this loss of enthusiasm leaves wrinkles upon the soul.
It is impossible to tell another what path he or she should follow. Only you, in stillness and humility, can listen to that still small voice. Success and happiness are not distant goals to capture and hold. They happen incidentally while you are fulfilling yourself.”
A quote from the truly inspiring Michael Lynberg, author of The Gift of Giving

California dreaming Thursday
Sitting down at the office in another grey day in London really increased my craving for something sunny and beach related. As I’m counting the days to lay down in a beach in Portugal very soon ..the only thing I could do to cheer me up and bring the sun back in my life was to get something beach related. These cool beach pouches from Samudra did just the trick. Cool Tahiti reef pouch on its way. Meanwhile I will keep dreaming.

Happiness Friday!
Nothing made me more happy this week than reading that finally J crew are going to start shipping to the UK!
They are one of my favourite US brands and I was counting the days for this big DAY! I fear my credit card might start to suffer badly!
